The largest smartphone company in China, Coolpad has just announced it has signed a partnership with major carrier T-Mobile for the launch of its first Android smartphone in the United States.

Dubbed Coolpad Rogue, the new smartphone is far from being impressive. What's really impressive about this device is the price.

According to T-Mobile, the Rogue will be available for purchase online and at brick and mortar stores on September 30. Customers will be able to pick this one up for just $50 outright.

Talking about specs, the best thing about Coolpad Rogue is the fact that it ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

One of the cheapest Android smartphones in the US

When it comes to hardware, the Rogue is equipped with a 1.1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, an Adreno 304 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM, which is great for such a cheap device.

Also, the smartphone comes with only 4GB of storage inside, but users can further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Coolpad Rogue sports a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution. There's also a very modest 2-megapixel camera on the back, along with a secondary VGA camera in the front.

The Rogue offers LTE support (2, 4, 12, AWS3 bands), as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS support. It measures exactly 126.5 x 64.4 x 13.2mm.

“We are extremely excited that Coolpad can bring our 'Live Smart' motto of providing cool technology, easy-to-use interface, affordable prices, and attractive designs to T-Mobile customers,” said Charlie Parke, VP of Coolpad Technologies.

“The Un-carrier doesn't just spark industry-leading trends, we're giving our customers even more options to pick the phone that fits their lifestyle,” said Roger Brown, vice president, Marketing at T-Mobile.
