A Photo Mode is expected to arrive this fall as well

Control developer Remedy Entertainment announced earlier this week that its latest paranormal thriller will be getting two major expansions next year, as well as one game mode. Those of you who read our Control review probably remember that one of our complaints was the fact that the game ends abruptly.

Even though the game clearly points to an expansion that will continue the main story, we wanted answers to a little bit more questions. Anyway, it appears that Remedy didn't want to wait too long to inform fans who played and finished their game that they will be able to continue their adventures in the Oldest House in 2020.

But first, Remedy is looking to add a Photo Mode, which will enable players to take snapshots of Jesse in the Oldest House. And thanks to the many costumes that players can unlock for Jesse, there will be a lot of room to juggle with her outfits in different landscapes.

The Photo Mode is expected to arrive this fall, but by the end of the year, another game mode is expected to land – Expeditions. The latter will be released in December and is meant to act as a new end-game mode in which Jesse must help Security Chief Arish explore the mysterious Formation and its strange surroundings. The new game mode will enable players to face some of the greatest challenges that the Oldest House can throw at them, and it will be free for all players.

Moving on to the juicy part, Remedy announced that two full, paid expansions will be released in 2020: The Foundation and AWE. Both will include new story missions, enemies, and game mechanics, and they will take place in new locations within the Oldest House.

For those who want to learn more about the history of the Oldest House, The Foundation expansion is supposed to answer any questions they might still have after finishing the game. In the first Control expansion, Jesse must explore what lies beneath the Bureau, so expect things to get weird.

The second expansion, AWE, will take Jesse into a new part of the Oldest House, the Investigations Sector, where the Bureau examines Altered World Events. The Foundation is set for release in early 2020, while AWE is expected to arrive in mid-2020
