It’s been about a couple of weeks since NBC pulled the plug on the series “Hannibal” because of underwhelming ratings, but producers and series creator Bryan Fuller aren’t losing hope on it yet. They know the best is to come with season 4, so they attended San Diego Comic-Con 2015 as scheduled, to discuss the future of the series.

You see, “Hannibal” may not have had the ratings NBC was hoping for, but it was a successful series. Proof of that is the ongoing #SaveHannibal online campaign, which unites fans from all over the world in one attempt: find a new home for the series.

So far, little luck. As you can see in the video below, which is the full “Hannibal” panel from Comic-Con, Amazon and Netflix passed on the chance of picking it up from the 4th season. Fuller explains why they wouldn’t get involved.

However, the creatives behind it are still looking at options, and they include the possibility of bringing the story back as a feature film. Whatever happens, though, whether “Hannibal” returns as a series on another network or as a film, leading men Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy are on board, Fuller told the screaming fans at the convention.
