The Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 included, as promised, a brand new trailer for the March 2016 release “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” It came to confirm older reports that Superman would be portrayed as the villain and Batman as the good guy, at least in the first 2 acts of the movie.

We should never assume a trailer shows too much of the third one, because that would mean spoiling the entire movie.

This new trailer also shows the first look at Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and at Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, before shaving his head, while still rocking what looks like a very unconvincing blonde wig.

“Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” starts before “Man of Steel” ends, with Bruce Wayne witnessing the destruction inflicted onto Metropolis in the epic confrontation between Superman and General Zod. He too considers Superman responsible for the deaths of the many innocent civilians, and will follow through with the survivors’ requests to bring him to justice.

All this time, Alfred, ever the voice of reason (Jeremy Irons), is trying to convince him that “he is not the enemy!” Batman doesn’t listen, and from what I can make from this new trailer, he and Superman are about to destroy a few more buildings before they come to understand that.

Whatever Wonder Woman is doing is not explained properly, but at least we get to see her in superheroine mode. This is the first big-screen outing for the beloved DC Comics character.

“Batman V. Superman” will be out in March 2016 and stars Ben Affleck, Gadot, Eisenberg, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. It’s directed by Zack Snyder, who also helmed “Man of Steel.”
