It's available as part of the Deluxe Edition and Season Pass

Code Vein, Bandai Namco's own take on Dark Souls, is getting the first major DLC this week. The Japanese developer announced two months ago that Code Vein will receive three new DLCs in early 2020, and the first one will drop tomorrow.

Hellfire Knight is the name of Code Vein's first expansion, and it's already listed on Steam and the Microsoft Store. As far as the price goes, if you don't already own the Season Pass or Deluxe Edition, you'll have to shell out $10/€10 for Hellfire Knight.

Code Vein Season Pass is available for purchase for $25/€25, so you'll probably save $5/€5 if you buy it instead of getting all three DLC separately. Unfortunately, there's no telling whether or not it's worth the money, and information about these DLC is scarce.

The listing on Steam mentions that Hellfire Knight will add new weapons and Blood Veils, but also new bosses to defeat. You can find below the full description of the Hellfire Knight expansion:

New powerful foes await in the first CODE VEIN DLC, Hellfire Knight. In addition to new weapons, Blood Veils, and blood codes being added, alternate costumes for your partners are now obtainable from newly added areas in the Depths.

Two other DLCs are expected to arrive by the end of March, but there's absolutely no information about them. Judging by how Bandai Namco treats Code Vein, we'll probably find out about their existence just a few days before launch, just like it happened with Hellfire Knight.

If you haven't yet played Code Vein but plan to give it a try, we'd strongly recommend checking out a handful of reviews, including ours, to learn more about the game. Just so you know that Bandai Namco went full anime on Code Vein, so if you're not into that, you'll probably be better off skipping this one.
