Code Vein, Bandai Namco's Dark Souls wannabe, is getting three new DLCs early next year, the Japanese company announced over the weekend. All three DLCs will be included in the game's Season Pass, which is now available for purchase for $25.

Although Bandai Namco didn't specify when exactly these DLCs will be released, it did confirm they will be launched as separate updates in early 2020. We also don't know how much will have to pay for each DLC players who don't own the Season Pass.

Besides the upcoming DLCs, Code Vein will get an important free update in December, which is said to contain some Christmas-themed accessories, new dance emotes, and a new set of poses. An exact release date for the update will be announced at a later date though, so stay tuned for more on the matter.

As far as the new DLCs go, not much is know about the content Bandai Namco plans to add to the game. The only information revealed by the Japanese publisher is the fact that they will introduce new bosses, new story bits, new NPC costumes, and new customization parts like weapons, Blood Codes, and Gifts.

Code Vein is currently available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $50 / €50. A Deluxe Edition that contains the Season Pass, an alternate Mia set, and the Insatiable Bloodthirst accessory set is available for $80 / €80.

We've already reviewed the game and found it quite decent, here is an excerpt: “while Code Vein can be very fun, it has major issues that might drive away players after just a few hours. The starting area is bland and the enemies are very easy, an intended design choice since it acts as a tutorial. Also, the story doesn't pick up until mid-game, another reason that many players might find Code Vein boring at first glance.” You can read our full Code Vein review for more in-depth details about the game mechanics, visuals and story.
