BHeart is a health tracker doubling as a classic watch band

The skyrocketing adoption of smartwatches made classic watches something that more and more people seem to be forgetting about, even though some of the premium models out there are absolutely breathtaking.

However, the benefits of having a smartwatch are clearly making a huge difference in this battle for the very limited space on the wrist, so classic watches would certainly become much rarer in the long term.

A company called Baracoda, however, came up with a brilliant device that allows us to wear classic watches without losing the said benefits of a smartwatch.

Called BHeart, their tracker is actually a classic watch band that integrates an army of sensors for advanced metrics, such as HR, sleep data, and steps.

“BHeart is designed to be subtly worn as a screenless watch band for an existing timepiece or as a bracelet. Despite its simplicity, its clever design hides complex sensors and energy collection technology. Baracoda's AIoT platform transforms the data coming from multiple health sensors into actionable insights about users' body energy, health status, mental resilience, activity level, and sleep quality,” the parent explains.

With a battery of just 1 mAh, BHeart gets the necessary power to run all day from five solar panels that are installed on the outside of the device to recharge while walking outside.

Needless to say, it doesn’t come with a screen and doesn’t give you any notifications, but at the end of the day, it’s only supposed to let you wear the classic timepiece without losing the activity tracking that so many people seem to be interested in.

The device, which is compatible with standard watches with a lug width between 18 and 22 mm, is projected to go on sale later this year, with pricing to start at $100.
