Point and click adventure games aren't as popular as they were 10 years ago, but that doesn't mean they have completely disappeared. As long as there's an audience for this type of game, there will always be developers who will make them.

The Hand of Glory is one of those rare point & click adventure games that cater to a niche audience. After a successful Kickstarter campaign ended about a year ago and a delay of about four months, The Hand of Glory has finally made its way to PC (via Steam).

Developed by Madit Entertainment and Darin Touch, in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission and IVIPRO, and under the patronage of the municipality of San Leo, The Hand of Glory is now available for purchase for just $19 / €17.

There's a catch though: only the first chapter of the game can be played at the moment. According to developers, the game has been divided into two chapters, and Part II will be released in the fall as free DLC to owners of Part I. So, if you buy the game right now, you will eventually get both parts, it's just that you won't be able to finish The Hand of Glory until later this year.

The Hand of Glory is inspired by the golden age of adventure games, especially by the Broken Sword and Gabriel Knight series. The game promises to offer more than 15 hours of gameplay, thousands of dialogue lines, and dozens of puzzles to solve.

Player will step into the shoes of Lazarus Bundy, a fearless detective who is searching for the truth about the kidnapping of young Kathrin Mulzberg. Throughout their playthroughs, players will have to solve several murders and reveal the big mystery behind them, which involves alchemy and esoterism.

Last but not least, the game features splendid 2D fullHD locations in Miami and Italy, as well as an original atmospheric soundtrack and full English voice-over.
