One of the most popular mobile games available on the market, Clash of Clans has just received a twin brother that is supposed to offer those who are not into strategy games an alternative.

Developed by Supercell, the same company responsible for Clash of Clans, the new game is called Clash Royale and is aimed at fans of card games.

According to Supercell, the team behind Clash Royale is completely different than the one that created Clash of Clans, so gamers should expect a fresh experience.

Clash Royale is a multiplayer game in the same genre as Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone, so you will have to create your deck cards to beat your opponents in 1 vs. 1 matches.

Players can collect and upgrade dozens of cards featuring the Clash of Clans troops, spells, and defenses. Even though Clash Royale is in a different genre, developers made use of some game elements that Clash of Clans players are already familiar with.

Winning matches will reward players with chests that contain powerful new cards. Most of the cards can be upgraded, but players can also build spells and defenses, as well as their favorite Clash troops.

Another interesting feature confirmed by the developer is the ability to form a Clan to share cards and build you own battle community.

An Android version might be launched as well

Supercell announced that the Clash Royale has been soft launched, which means it's only available in some countries. Also, the game is only released on App Store, so if you have an iOS device, you can try to download it.

Although Supercell might launch Clash Royale on iOS platform initially, we expect the developer to make the game available to Android devices as well.

Still, it will take some time until Clash Royale is launched in all countries, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
