As if we don't have enough game launchers, Rockstar has decided to introduce its game client that will give players access to specific games. To convince people to download the so-called Rockstar Games Launcher, the studio is giving away one of its older games to everyone who jumps on board.

For a limited time, players who install the Rockstar Games Launcher can claim a free copy of the classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on PC within the Rockstar Games Launcher, to permanently add it to their Social Club account's library.

Epic Games Store did a similar move, it's just that the launcher now offers one or two games for free each week, a much better deal if you ask us. On the bright side, the Rockstar Games Launcher does offers some nifty functionality like cloud saves for supported titles, as well as the ability to keep Rockstar Games PC library updated automatically, along with the option to receive Rockstar Games news from directly inside the Launcher.

Of the features listed above, cloud saves is probably the only one that would be useful to gamers, but it's fine to have the other two as well. Rockstar says that its Windows desktop application allows players to access their Rockstar Games PC collection in a single place, across both digital and disc-based titles including ones purchased from various other digital stores, so that's another benefit that you get if you decide to go for the freebie.

Rockstar was kind enough to list all the PC titles supported via the Games Launcher, so here they are: Grand Theft Auto V, Max Payne 3, L.A. Noire, Bully: Scholarship Edition, Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files (supported, but not available for purchase via the Rockstar Games Launcher).

Now, as far as the PC games that are NOT supported via the Rockstar Games Launcher, here is the full list: Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto 2, Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, Manhunt, and Midnight Club 2.
