PC cases weren't traditionally considered works of art, or things on which the human creative talent would reside more than what was necessary to put together a couple of module devices and components in their slots and connect them.

However, as of late, more PC cases are built to reflect the performance power of one's computer and turn more and more into things humans invest time and effort to actually make them look good.

In this regard, ThermalTake’s new Core P5 case is something special. It leaves behind the concept of "case" and moves more towards the area of mount or pedestal or something you would put a statue on. It's so classy it can fit in select living rooms and look at it while sipping brandy and talking about golf matches.

As the pictures show, this is an open-air case, the air filtration would be minimal. Covered by a large transparent sheet of plastic, it lays all the components completely open and visible so you can enjoy the technical wonder of your machine. If you worry about dust, well maybe you should've hired someone to do the dusting for you in the first place.

Hardware-side, the Core P5 supports a mini-ITX up to a full ATX motherboard and PSU, while it’s not exactly clear what the graphics card is, except maybe being a Gigabyte card using a flexible PCIe extension cable. Storage-wise, you'd get up to four drives, two 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch.

Liquid cooling is present as well, if it's not actually the main attraction of the entire system. In case you plan to build a PC in such a luxurious pimp-style case, you should find out that the case itself will cost you $150 (€132) with availability sometime around the middle of this month.
