The phone will be initially available at Cricket Wireless

ZTE claims to be the fourth largest smartphone supplier in the United States and second largest in the no-contract market. Also, the Chinese company is omnipresent at this year CES 2016 trade fair and announced a few products for the US market.

One of these products is the affordable ZTE Grand X3 smartphone, which will be available in the US via Cricket Wireless.

According to ZTE, the smartphone will cost just $130 outright, even though it comes with some above-average specs.

Software-wise, ZTE Grand X3 ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. It also comes with support for Cricket's 4G LTE network, so expect blazing fast speeds while in the United States.

On the inside, the smartphone comes equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

At the back, ZTE Grand X3 features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Long-lasting battery, Dolby Audio technology

ZTE's affordable smartphone sports a large 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

One feature that you usually get into high-end smartphones is the USB Type-C reversible port, which is also part of the ZTE Grand X3 specification list.

Last but not least, the Grand X3 is powered by a more than decent 3,080 mAh battery, which features quick charging capabilities.
