Polaroid smartphones aren't available for purchase in too many countries, but the company, once known for its cameras, continues to release new phones.

The latest additions to the company's not so large portfolio of Android smartphones are called Power and Snap.

Since we have already reported a few days ago about the upcoming Polaroid Power phablet, let's take a look at what the Snap has to offer regarding specs.

Polaroid Snap is a mid-range smartphone that ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

The smartphone will be available in three variations with 5-inch, 5.5-inch, and 6-inch display. Also, some versions will come with 1GB of RAM while others will pack 2GB of RAM.

According to Polaroid, the cheapest Snap model will be available for purchase for just $130 outright whereas the most expensive will cost around $180.

All three Snap models will pack 720p displays, regardless of their size. Also, they will come equipped with quad-core processors clocked at 1.2GHz, as well as either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

4G LTE support and front-facing camera with LED flash

Polaroid Snap will pack a 13-megapixel snapper on the back, which features autofocus, dual-LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front with LED flash.

The smartphone won't offer dual-SIM support, but Polaroid has confirmed all three versions of Snap include 4G LTE support, along with other connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.

“We’re expanding our unlocked smartphone line with a focus on enhanced camera capabilities, upgraded features and providing even more choices for consumers to customize their mobile lifestyles.

“Our new smartphone line complements a family of Polaroid products that embody what the brand is most well-known for; offering consumers fun and affordable ways to instantly capture and share memories with their friends and family,” said Polaroid President and CEO, Scott W. Hardy.
