LeTV Max Pro's unveiling at CES 2016 trade fair marks two world premieres: the first handset to use Qualcomm's Sense ID fingerprint scanner and world's first Snapdragon 820-powered phone.

The phablet has been officially introduced on the stage by Qualcomm as the first announced smartphone to arrive with a Snapdragon 820 chipset inside.

Moreover, Qualcomm confirmed the LeTV Max is the first announced smartphone to support multi-gigabit Wi-Fi 802.11ad support, which should provide users with blazing fast wireless data transfer speeds (up to 4.6Gbps).

Aside from the powerful chipset and many Qualcomm technologies inside, the Max Pro comes with an impressive 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The Snapdragon 820 processor is coupled with no less than 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit. It also packs 64GB of internal memory, but there's no mention of microSD card slot yet.

The fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone includes Qualcomm's Sense ID technology that is more secure and reliable than the current generation of fingerprint scanners.

3,400 mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 technology

We also know LeTV Max Pro will be powered by a 3,400 mAh battery, which hasn't been rated by the manufacturer yet. The phablet has been confirmed to pack Qualcomm Charge 2.0 technology, which allows the battery to charge from 0% to 60% in just 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, there are no details on availability and pricing options yet, but you can be sure the Max Pro will be launched on the market in the first half of the year.

Keep in mind, though, that LeTV Max Pro will be released in China, so the only way to purchase one would be to order it from one of the Chinese online retailers that ship internationally.
