14 DAY TRIAL // Not sure if fans can't wait to get their hands on Capcom's Resident Evil-themed multiplayer game more than they would like to play Resident Evil 3 Remake, but we have new information about Resident Evil Resistance, the 4 vs 1 asymmetrical survival horror game included with the upcoming remake.
Capcom revealed today Resident Evil Resistance's maps and announced two additional Masterminds that will join the game's roster: Alex Wesker and Ozwell Spencer. Each of these infamous villains will bring a unique brand of terror to the game and a set of special abilities to thwart the Survivors trying to escape Umbrella Corporation’s devious experiments.
Alex Wesker appeared for the first time in Resident Evil Revelations 2 and her playstyle puts an emphasis on using traps, while also manipulating the map to slow Survivors down with roadblocks and enhanced zombies.
Ozwell E. Spencer is the antagonist in the Resident Evil series. He uses the company’s cutting edge technology to torment Survivors. Unlike other Masterminds who summon controllable bioweapons, Ozwell instead generates a Disintegration Field that severely damages any Survivor who haplessly passes through it.
Masterminds and Survivors will face each other on two new maps – Casino and Abandoned Park, but these will not be the only playable maps in the game.
In case you didn't know, in Resident Evil Resistance, one Mastermind plots a deadly course by wielding a strategic deck of cards to create dangerous obstacles to prevent a group of Survivors from escaping – such as summoning vicious creatures, setting traps, manipulating the environment, and weaponizing security cameras. Survivors, on the other hand, must work together using their own special abilities and items they come across to thwart the Mastermind and escape the experiment before time runs out.
It's important to note that Resident Evil Resistance will be included with Resident Evil 3 on April 3, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
