14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft announced in May that Windows 10 would launch with Candy Crush Saga pre-installed for a limited period of time, and now that we're getting closer to the moment when the new OS is supposed to make its debut, the company is giving it the final touches to make sure that everything's prepared for the big launch. Including Candy Crush Saga, that is.
The game will indeed be pre-installed on Windows 10 on July 29, but if you're already on build 10240, you can give it a try right away because Candy Crush Saga is now available for download from the new store.
Candy Crush Saga comes on Windows 10 with a free license, but in-app purchases are also offered “for extra moves or lives.”
Since it'll be a universal app, Candy Crush Saga will allow you to sync the game between all your Windows 10 devices, including PCs and smartphones, so you can start playing on one device and continue from where you left off on another.
More games coming in Windows 10
Microsoft has already confirmed that Candy Crush Saga is not the only game that will be offered to Windows 10 adopters.
Microsoft Solitaire Collection is also being offered as the new time waster, but in addition, the company is also working with King to add more of its games in Windows 10 on PCs and phones.
“Candy Crush Saga will be automatically installed for customers that upgrade to or download Windows 10 during the launch! Over time, other popular and awesome King game titles will be available for Windows 10,” Microsoft's Brandon LeBlanc said in May.
If you want to download Candy Crush Saga, just fire up the new store in build 10240 and search for the game. Additionally, you can check it in your browser in Microsoft's new web-based store here.
