14 DAY TRIAL // Unsurprisingly, publisher Activision has just announced a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign is now available on PlayStation 4. The game was previously tipped to arrive early this week, so it looks like the rumors were accurate.
The game includes just the single-player campaign experience, as to not split its audience again. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign includes the free special “Ghost” themed digital bundle that can be used in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (including Call of Duty: Warzone).
Although the game is only available on PlayStation 4 at this time, it will come to other platforms like PC and Xbox One as well. In fact, it can already be pre-ordered on both platforms starting today. As far as the price goes, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered costs just $20.
According to Activision, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 includes the full campaign featuring high-definition visuals – up to 4K resolution and HDR support on PlayStation 4. Also, it will offer uncapped framerate as well as ultrawide monitor support on PC.
In terms of enhancements, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered features improved texture resolution and detail, revamped animation, remastered audio, and a lot more. Unlike the original game which was developed by Infinity Ward, the remastered was handled by Beenox.
Players who purchase the game on PlayStation 4 will also receive the Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost Bundle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for free. Alongside the Ghost Operator skin, players will also receive two weapon blueprints, a weapon charm, a new finishing move, voice quip, animated calling card, emblem and two Battle Pass tier skips, which can be used in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone. The same offer is available for those who pre-order the game on other platforms.
