It's not clear when PC and Xbox players will get theirs

Activision revealed that Call of Duty Black Ops 4’s Blackout, the upcoming battle royale mode for the famous online-only FPS, is going to be available in its Beta form starting on September 10.

The previous Beta for Call of Duty Black Ops 4 took place over the course of a weekend, with the exception of the PlayStation 4 platform. Those users get access to the game a week before, and it looks like that’s going to happen again.

The latest Call of Duty from Activision and Treyarch is going to be multiplayer only, and it will feature a number of modes. Until now, just the regular stuff has been offered, like Team Deathmatch, Domination variations, and a few others, but the next Beta is going to be different.

Some are more worthy

Activision secured a little bit of exclusivity for Sony for PlayStation 4 users, and they will get to play the Beta long before the rest of the world. It’s not fair, but this is how the world works.

For now, we only know that the Beta will start on September 10th for PlayStation 4 and it will cover Blackout, which is the touted battle royale mode. It’s not clear whether only Blackout will be available or the modes will make a comeback as well.

The dates for the Xbox One and PC platforms haven’t been announced, but if the pattern holds true, then we should see those versions made available a week later. The information was released via a small Twitter video, which also introduces solo, duos, and quad modes for Blackout.

Activision is taking a massive risk with Call of Duty Black Ops 4 because if the first online-only title in the series. It’s safe to say that the community is not happy about the decision, but players did turn out in significant numbers for the Beta.
