Gamers can take a selfie to celebrate their victories

Video game developer Treyarch and publisher Activision are delivering a new update for the Black Market included in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to give players access to more content, including some new gestures, with one allowing characters to take a selfie and another based on a motivational speech from Shia Labeouf.

The first-person shooter now also features the RSA Interdiction sniper rifle, a baseball bat for melee lovers, a new dagger and more, with extra customization options also thrown in the mix.

The Black Market content can be opened up via normal gameplay, or gamers can use real-world money to secure it if they are unwilling to spend the time required.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 fans can also play on the Nuketown map, but the core fan base has been asking for information about a new downloadable content pack for the title, which should introduce more new content, including four new maps for multiplayer and another zombie-focused episode.

Awakening has been offered on the PlayStation 4 since February, and on the PC and the Xbox One since the start of March, and Activision will probably want to deliver another DLC before the end of spring.

A total of three other packages for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 are supposed to arrive before the next installment in the franchise debuts in the fall, and in the meantime, Treyarch will also deliver updates to tweak the gameplay.

A map editor and other mod tools might also arrive soon

Treyarch says that it is planning to launch an alpha testing phase for a map editor and other mod tools, which should allow the player community to put together its own content and share it.

This is the first time since Call of Duty: World at War that the developers and Activision are working on such a release, and a full package might arrive in early summer.

It's unclear whether the mod tools will allow fans to create content that can only be shared with those who own a PC version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 or if the two companies are planning to also bring the best new content to home consoles.

Infinity Ward is working on a new installment in the first-person shooter franchise that will arrive during the fall, but no actual details about the gameplay or the story will probably be offered until E3 2016.
