The development team at Treyarch and publisher Activision might not be ready to offer official confirmation, but footage from gamers shows that the coming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will include a hidden arcade mode that will be familiar for those who have played previous entries in the franchise.

The video, which has been already taken down from a number of services, shows quite a bit of the core features of Dead Ops 2: Cyber’s Revengening and explains how gamers will be able to access it once they get the shooter.

The first version of the hidden mode was introduced in the first Black Ops title five years ago, and clearly Treyarch is delivering a new version to offer an interesting extra experience for long-term fans.

The development team is clearly eager to show that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the most complete entry in the franchise, offering a wide variety of modes that can attract a wide array of players.

The single player takes place in 2065 and is focused on special forces soldiers that are enhanced using both genetics and tech, fighting behind enemy lines in a new worldwide conflict, trying to find their friends and to take down an evil conspiracy.

The entire campaign can be played cooperatively.

For those who like to work with friends, Treyarch is also offering a Shadows of Evil undead focused story that takes place in a noir version of the past and includes four unique characters.

The Dead Ops arcade will introduce another option for fans and the shooter also features a wide array of competitive multiplayer modes.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is getting more pre-orders than Advanced Warfare

Eric Hirshberg, the chief executive officer of the publishing side of Activision, says that the new game is performing better than last year's version and that the company is confident of its performance on launch.

He explains the reasons that will make Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 a success, "the growing engagement around the past Black Ops titles; the significant year-on-year lift in pre-orders; consumer sentiment around our marketing assets which is more positive for Black Ops III than any Call of Duty title on record; a great partnership with Sony across consumer, trade and custom PS4 bundles; and our ranking as Neilson's Number One Most Anticipated Title of the Year."

Traditionally, the Call of Duty series manages to deliver the biggest entertainment launch of the year.

Activision is relying on the series for much of its revenue and is investing big in marketing to make sure that as many gamers pick one up during its first week on shelves.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be offered on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 worldwide on November 6.

Gamers can also get it on older home consoles, but the title will lack the single-player campaign because of tech limitations.

This might be a long-term problem when it comes to sales because the install base of modern platforms while growing very fast is not yet as big as that of older devices.
