No full list of bug fixes is offered at the moment

The development team at Treyarch and publisher Activision are offering PC fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 access to another patch for the first-person shooter, which is once again designed to improve the overall performance associated with the title.

The official announcement on Steam does not provide us with too many details about the changes that are made, and there's no list offered via the official blogs of the two companies, which makes it a little frustrating for gamers who want to know whether the update is having any effect.

Bug fixes and performance improvements are always welcome, but Treyarch should try to add some clarity when it comes to the changes that it applies to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

This would make it easier for gamers to see how their install performs and then report bugs that the developers might have missed.

The patch weighs in at 520 MB and is required for all those who want to play the shooter on the PC.

It's unclear whether a patch for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be offered to introduce the same bug fixes or if Treyarch has a separate development track for each platform on which its shooter is provided.

At the moment, some fans are still complaining about performance, saying that, despite having powerful systems, they are unable to run the shooter at solid frame rates for long periods of time.

The discussion is mostly taking place on the Twitter feed of the PC platform lead for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

The shooter is getting more content in 2016

Treyarch is at the moment focused on making sure that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 runs as well as possible on all platforms on which it is available and that no major problems affect the single- or the multiplayer experiences.

But the company is also already working on the four downloadable content packs that are planned for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, with the first of them probably arriving relatively early, in 2016.

As always, more maps and weapons will be the main point of interest, but the community will also get access to modes and more zombie-focused content.

For the first time in the history of the franchise, gamers who picked up Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on the PlayStation 4 will get access to DLC one month before those on the PC and the Xbox One.

Major competitive events based around the shooter will also use the Sony platform.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 managed to deliver a solid performance at launch, generating more than 550 million dollars (480 million Euro) in sales during its first three days on the market and breaking series records when it comes to engagement.

Activision says that it has once again managed to deliver the biggest entertainment release of the year, although Star Wars: The Force Awakens will probably take the title in December.
