There are three other maps featured in the DLC

Video game developer Treyarch and publisher Activision are launching the first video preview associated with the maps coming in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 downloadable content pack, named Eclipse, allowing gamers to take a look at the design of the new Verge map and get a sense of how to best exploit it in battle.

The official video explains, “This re-imagining of Treyarch's classic Banzai from World at War drops players into the center of a post-apocalyptic battleground. As water sources dry up, two competing factions fight to maintain their supply. Take control of the key bridge, fortresses, tunnel systems, and waterfalls to survive in the high-stakes wasteland of Verge.”

The new map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been designed from the ground up to use the new movement mechanics of the shooter, which emphasizes dynamism and allows players to quickly move around and surprise their enemies.

The other three multiplayer maps that will be coming in Eclipse are called Rift, Spire, Knockout and all fans will also be able to pick up a new zombie cooperative episode that's called Zetsubou No Shima, which introduces new enemies and a mysterious Pacific island.

This second downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be launched on April 19 on the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

Players who want to get the new content on the Xbox One or the PC will have to wait until the middle of May to get Eclipse.

There are two other DLC packs coming for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

Eclipse uses the standard classic structure for extra content packs and Treyarch will probably also introduce a major update when the DLC arrives on the PlayStation 4 in order to tweak gameplay and fix the biggest outstanding bugs.

Treyarch and Activision will deliver another two packs for the shooter during the year, and all of them with introduce four multiplayer maps and a new undead-focused cooperative episode.

The new Call of Duty will be revealed during the coming E3 2016 event and developer Infinity Ward is saying that it is planning to introduce some new ideas to the shooter franchise.

Rumors are saying that the studio is planning to create a new narrative that's not connected to Black Ops or Advanced Warfare.

Sources are suggesting that the title will be set in the far future and gamers will be able to take part in complex space battles and will use a wide range of new abilities.
