The Taken King is launching in less than one month and the development team at Bungie has already aired one of the three big live streams that will give gamers information about the major tweaks that are being made to the mechanics of Destiny.

In a new Weekly Update, the studio is offering clarifications and details that focus on the elements of the presentation.

We already knew that Destiny is putting more of an emphasis on experience and making Light less important and that gamers should not dismantle any equipment before The Taken King arrives.

The new Blueprint idea is designed to allow gamers to get Exotics by paying with a form of currency, which means more access to the more powerful weapons, mainly because they can be shared between all the characters connected to an account.

The Vault in Destiny offers double the space in order to make sure that gamers have a place where to store their most powerful equipment when the character does not actually use it.

The Exotics are getting tweaked to make them more competitive with the content coming in the second year of Destiny, although no tweaks have been made to Gjallarhorn.

Bungie wants gamers to remain engaged

The development team adds, "Select weapons and armor pieces that have been redesigned for Year Two can be purchased for Legendary Marks, assuming you discovered the original Year One Blueprints."

The new currency is designed to replace both vanguard and Crucible marks to be used in the tower and can be obtained from dailies, weekly heroic strikes, and Player versus Player activity.

Bungie is also saying that they will be shared across an account and that there are no plans to increase the Glimmer cap because the game will offer more opportunities to spend it.

Before The Taken King arrives, gamers will also get access to a huge 2.0 update, which will deliver a full balance pass for all weapons as well as other fixes.

The expansion is centered around Oryx, a powerful new character that will be the star of a big six man raid, with gamers also able to explore his dreadnought in strikes and other activities.

The Taken King for Destiny can be played on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and older home consoles.
