14 DAY TRIAL // After delaying the next piece of Borderlands 3 content, Gearbox revealed that The Director's Cut add-on will bring new rewards for players when it launches on April 8. Diamond Keys are a step up from the traditional Golden Keys that lets players open Golden Chests for high-end gear appropriate for their level.
In addition to a new raid boss, murder mystery story missions, and behind-the-scenes content, Director's Cut includes three Vault Cards, which are your tickets to a new progression system featuring daily and weekly challenges. By completing challenges, players gain progress toward unlocking themed rewards, including unique Legendary gear, and tons of new cosmetic items.
Unlike Golden Keys that allow players to open a single chest per key, Diamond Keys provide access to an entire room full of exciting loot: the Diamond Armory, which is located beneath the Bridge on Sanctuary III's upper deck.
Currently, Vault Cards can only be accessed by players who own the Director's Cut add-on and can’t be purchased individually or separately. Similarly, Diamond Keys must be earned through gameplay and cannot be purchased individually or separately.
To use your Diamond Keys, simply visit the Diamond Armory, which contains the alluring Diamond Chest with “Choose Wisely” inscribed on its front. On three nearby walls, you'll see neon symbols for Shields, Weapons, and Grenades. Activate the Diamond Chest with a single-use Diamond Key, and the shutters on those three walls will snap open, revealing a trove of exceptional items.
In case you don't know, Director’s Cut launches on April 8, and will be available for individual purchase or as part of Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition or Season Pass 2.
On a side note, Tales from the Borderlands is now available on the Nintendo Switch system. More importantly, players can purchase the game on Nintendo Switch at a special introductory price of $19.99 for a limited time.
