Developer Gearbox has just revealed new content coming soon to Borderlands 3: a new campaign add-on and a gauntlet event. The first one to arrive is Takedown at the Guardian Breach, an endgame gauntlet that has been designed to put players' skills and gear to the ultimate test. Takedown at the Guardian Breach will be available for free starting June 4.

Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption is the name of Borderlands 3's upcoming campaign add-on, which is slated for release on June 25. The new paid DLC has players embark on a wild new adventure filled with frontier justice.

As with the previous two campaign add-ons – Moxxi's Heist of The Handsome Jackpot and Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock – Bounty of Blood features an all-new setting, where players will interact with an entirely new cast of characters as an unseen narrator commentates their adventures.

In Bounty of Blood, players will travel to the harsh desert planet of Gehenna to claim a bounty on The Devil Riders, a vicious gang of bandits that’s been terrorizing the small town of Vestige. New characters like Rose, a warrior who's adept with pistol and katana alike, and Juno, a rough-and-tumble brawler with a checkered past, will pop up along the way.

More importantly, the paid campaign add-on brings several new gameplay features, like the customizable JetBeast hoverbike that'll help players traverse the open plains quickly and can be outfitted with artillery like dual machine guns and mortar weapons. Also, four brand new interactive objects that will aid players in combat and exploration will be added, such as the Traitorweed and the Breezebloom.

On the other hand, the new endgame gauntlet event, Takedown at the Guardian Breach, will be an extreme challenge that scales to the number of players in a party but is meant to push a full party of four leveled-up Vault Hunters to the limit.

Besides new enemies, low-gravity platforming sections, and environmental puzzles, the new Takedown event will have players overcome both a miniboss and a final boss encounter. The winners will be rewarded with a host of new items, including themed weapons, gear, and collectible cosmetics.
