14 DAY TRIAL // Bodhi, an operating system based on Linux that uses a new desktop environment named Moksha, has just received a more unusual update for those users who want more from the operating system.
Bodhi Linux recently changed the default Enlightenment desktop entertainment with a new one called Moksha, which is actually a fork from the older E17. The change seems to have been a success and users like it.
It's nice to see that the development of Bodhi Linux picked up some Steam after it was a little bit uncertain whether we'll ever get to see another update for it. Now, the developers are working to further increase the user base by adding a new Bodhi version that has a lot more default packages.
Like most important Linux distributions, Bodhi Linux only ships with the base minimum and users are left to their own devices. In this way, no particular app seems imposed by the developers and everyone is free to get what they want.
There is also another camp of people out there that want more default applications so that they don't have to go looking for it. It's not something that uncommon, so the makers of Bodhi have complied to the demands, and they've pushed a new version out the door, called "AppPack Pack."

"Unlike the normal Bodhi Linux releases that come with a minimal amount of software pre-installed, AppPack releases will include a variety of software pre-installed for folks who want minimal setup work after installing their operating system," said the developer.
Here are the apps included by default: Chromium Web Browser, LibreOffice 5, VLC Media Player, OpenShot Video Editor, Pinta Graphics Tool, Evince Document Viewer, ePhoto Image Viewer, Qalculate Calculator, Geany Text Editor, Exterminator Task Manager, Terminology Terminal Emulator, PCManFM File Manager, Filezilla FTP Client, HexChat IRC, eepDater System Updater, Synaptic Package Manager, and Printer Support.
