The first details about the Blood and Wine DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have been revealed, and we also got a closer look at the new vistas.

The developers from CD PROJEKT RED are preparing a fresh DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and it’s going to be a really big one. They promise at least 20 hours of gameplay, which is a lot more than most games offer today. It’s also the last DLC for this game, and it’s scheduled to be released in the first half of 2016.

This studio has a rather different approach to DLCs and has already released 12 free ones, consisting of items and quests, along with a bigger one named Hearts of Stone, which also expanded the main story considerably.

The first Witcher game was released all the way back in 2007, and this latest one is the third in the series. After so many years of doing a continuous story, the studio is ready to move on to another IP, although it’s easy to imagine that they will probably return to this franchise in the future.

Blood and Wine brings people to a new land, Toussaint

"Blood and Wine is a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all-new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret," says Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, game director for CD PROJEKT RED.

The developers promise to offer a new land unlike anything that we have seen so far and new challenges. It’s included in the season pass, if you already have that, or you will be able to buy it separately.

CD PROJEKT RED will concentrate more on their upcoming sci-fi game, Cyberpunk 2077, and they are targeting a 2017 launch for it.
