Blizzard is opening the doors for the Overwatch Closed Beta, and it looks like players from the Americas and Europe gameplay regions are now able to play. The developers also provided us with the system requirements and they are not all that big.

Blizzard is really trying to turn Overwatch into a winner, but with so many multiplayer games being prepped for launch or announced, they are going to have a lot of competition.

It feels like all the major studios and publishers have decided at once that now is the time to put online, competitive multiplayer games on the market. It's also possible that they noticed gamers' increased appetite for such titles.

Overwatch is a new multiplayer game built by Blizzard and featuring two opposing teams of six players. The main difference from other first-person shooters is that players can use different heroes with various abilities and weaknesses. They will need to complement each other and to use strategies in order to win matches.

The system requirements for Overwatch are not all that impressive

Since this is a multiplayer game, Blizzard needs to make sure that as many people as possible will be able to play it, so the system requirements are accessible. They are not as low as some users might have wanted, but they are not too high either.

The targeted minimum is 30 FPS, although that's quite low for a proper multiplayer experience. With that in mind, here is what you should need, at least: Windows 7 or better, and Intel Core i3 or AMD Phenom X3 865 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460, ATI Radeon HD 4850, or Intel HD Graphics 4400, and 4GB of RAM.

The recommended requirements are just a little bit higher. An Intel Core i5 or AMD Phenom II X3, 2.8 GHz is needed, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or ATI Radeon HD 7950 (notice the lack of Intel GPUs), and 6GB of RAM.
