Hearthstone, arguably the best card game for small and large screens, is getting another expansion that introduced a new set of cards, a new “word” and many other surprises.

Kobolds & Catacombs is Blizzard's gift to D&D players who love to delve in dungeons for the ultimate treasure hunting. The seventh Hearthstone expansion takes players to the origins of dungeon crawling through a new set of cards and new gameplay mechanics.

First off, the expansion will be released in December and can already be pre-ordered for €49.99. For that amount, players will receive 50 packs at the price of 40, as well as an exclusive card back.

On top of that, all players will receive a Marin the Fox card for free before the expansion launched, but a golden version of the Legendary card will be given to those with a Blizzcon virtual ticket. But there's more, as Blizzard announced everyone will receive a free Legendary weapon.

Hearthstone: Kobolds & Catacombs expansion includes 135 new cards, a new gameplay mechanic (word) called Recruit, along with a new single player mode called Dungeon Runs. Also, Blizzard announced it has decided to design one Legendary weapons for each Hearthstone class.

The new Dungeon Runs mode is available for free, so players won't have to buy the expansion to benefit from the new single player adventure. In Dungeon Runs, players will choose a Hero and receive a starting deck consisting of 10 cards.

The main goal is to defeat eight randomly chosen bosses to clear the run. Each time players defeat a Dungeon Run encounter, they will get the chance to “level up” their deck with themed sets of three cards specially designed for their Hero. Occasionally, players will be give the opportunity to choose from three very powerful Treasure cards (non-collectible) and abilities made for this mode alone.

Keep in mind that losing just one match will end your Dungeon Run and you'll have to start all over again. Also, if you manage to complete a full Dungeon Run with each of the nine classes, you will receive the Candle King card back.

Finally, the Recruit word added in the expansion does exactly what you're probably think it does: it allows you to summon a random minion from your deck. The word only shows up on cards associated with the adventurer characters in Kobolds & Catacombs.
