It's a great day for Diablo fans who've been mistreated by for many years by Blizzard. The US company has finally revealed Diablo IV, a return to the dark world that we've fallen in love with thanks to the first two games in the series.

Diablo IV retains the same action-RPG gameplay mechanics but adds a few more elements in the equation such as interactive environments and the ability to mount horses. Blizzard has been working at Diablo IV for quite some time, so they've been able to piece together a demo that's playable at BlizzCon 2019, but they've also given as a gameplay trailer, which you can watch below.

The upcoming Diablo IV will feature three playable classes at launch: Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid. Each requires different playstyles, so, even if there are just three options, it's unlikely that you won't find something to fit your tastes.

Moving on to the actual story, a very important aspect of the Diablo series, the next installment in the franchise happens many years after the events of Diablo III. After the destruction of the Black Soulstone, the defeat of the Prime Evil, and the fall of Malthael, Angel of Death, millions have been slaughtered by the action of the High Heavens and Burning Hells.

The cinematic trailer released today reveals a brand new villain, Lilith, daughter of Mephisto, the whispered progenitor of humanity. It seems that her grip on Sanctuary cuts deep into the hearts of men and women, cultivating the worst in its denizens and leaving the world a dark, hopeless place.

Speaking of Sanctuary, Blizzard mentions that it's now trying a different approach to the world where players will be able to adventure across five distinctively dangerous regions in any order, all connected for uninterrupted journeys.

Also, Sanctuary is the game's main hub where players can meet others, mount up and roam from zone to zone completing public events together. Diablo IV will feature up to 4-player co-op, but it will also have PvP zones.

Although there's no mention of a release date yet, Blizzard confirmed during the show that Diablo IV will be coming to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
