Blightbound, the multiplayer dungeon crawler that made its debut on Steam Early Access not long ago, is getting an important update today. Dubbed “Helping Hands,” the new update is supposed to make it easier for solo and duo players to plunge into the depths if human party members can't be found.

If you're not aware, Blightbound is a 3-player co-op game, so if you don't have enough friends to play with, you'll have to group up with random people via the game's matchmaking system. With the new update, you'll be given one or two AI-controlled party members that should greatly help with your dungeoneering.

Although this is certainly the most important change introduced since the launch of the game in early access, it's by no means that only one included in the Helping Hands update. New elite enemies, items, and localized texts have been added to the game as well.

There should now be functional localizations for 9 languages including French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Also, the story of Blightbound continues to unfold, revealing new heroes and weapons, opening up new and darker regions filled with more beasts and bosses.

While the game features distinct class roles, you can find unique heroes, each with their unique skillset, passive abilities, and fully narrated story to complete. Many of them will be added during early access, so be on the lookout for new updates and read their patch notes to find out more about the new content added.

For those who don't own the game yet, developer Ronimo Games and publisher Devolver Digital announced that the release of the Helping Hands update coincides with a 20% discount through October 4, which means you'll be able to pick it up for just $16 / €16.
