14 DAY TRIAL // The first Android smartphone launched by BlackBerry, the PRIV, comes with a bundle of applications specially developed for this device.
These Android applications are not officially compatible with other Android handsets, even though they have been listed on Google Play Store.
In fact, their listing on Google Play store is meant to make it easier for BlackBerry to push updates to those who own the PRIV.
Today, the Canadian company has launched yet another Android application that's only available to PRIV owners, BlackBerry Virtual Expert.

A great way to test your BlackBerry smartphone's capabilities
“This application is designed to help you identify the cause of symptoms that your BlackBerry device may exhibit or display. You will be guided through a series of hardware tests to produce a test results summary,” reads the app's description on Google Play Store.
Keep in mind that BlackBerry Virtual Expert has been customized for the features included in the PRIV, and will allow you to make some tests for the camera, LED flash, display, keyboard, main keypad, side keys, stereo headset, microphones, USB connector, light and proximity sensors, as well as slider.
The Virtual Expert is meant to tell BlackBerry PRIV owners if their smartphone is in good shape, so if one of the tests included in the application has failed, you might want to contact your service provider with the diagnosis for customer support.
If you own the PRIV, you can now download BlackBerry Virtual Expert for Android for free via Google Play Store. As mentioned earlier, it will only work on the BlackBerry PRIV, and possibly any future Android smartphones launched by the Canadian company.
