We expect the BlackBerry Priv to hit shelves sometime in November, which means the smartphone should be put on pre-orders this month.

Well, it looks like BlackBerry and Android fans alike won't have to wait too long for the Priv to go on pre-order. According to an advertisement spotted by MobileSyrup, BlackBerry Priv will be available for pre-order beginning October 23.

The pricing options will vary by country, but we already know it will sell for £580 (€790 / $895) in the UK while in India it may be priced at no less than $780 outright.

In China, BlackBerry Priv might sell for as low as $630 while in the United States it should be priced at $600-$650, otherwise it won't be able to compete with other flagship smartphones available on the market.

Canadian carrier Rogers is already accepting pre-reservations for the BlackBerry Priv, which is now available for $400 CAD with a new two-year agreement or $800 CAD outright.

Will it get Android 6.0 Marshmallow next year?

Customers who pre-order the Priv will probably receive it in early November. According to UK-based retailer Carphone Warehouse, BlackBerry Priv pre-orders will ship beginning November 6.

The situation might differ in other countries, but bottom line is BlackBerry Priv is unlikely to hit shelves this month.

Those who haven't yet decided whether or not to purchase BlackBerry's first Android smartphone might want to know a few things about the Priv.

First of all, the Priv will come preloaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. The phone will be equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard, and it will feature a slider form factor.

BlackBerry Priv has been confirmed to boast a 5.4-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

It will also pack a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM and 3,410 mAh battery. On the back, the smartphone will feature an 18-megapixel photo snapper while in the front there should be a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
