All orders arrive by Christmas, in-store pickup unavailable

BlackBerry PRIV seems to be a hard-to-come-by smartphone these days, and if you have not managed to buy yours until now, the chances are you will have to wait more than a week to get one.

We reported a few days ago that one of the biggest retailers in the United States, Walmart, started to sell the BlackBerry PRIV, which was quite an important move for the Canadian company.

Unfortunately, the smartphone was sold out in less than a day, and customers were met with the usual “out of stock” message when visiting the PRIV's webpage on Walmart online store.

Fast forward 24 hours, and it looks like BlackBerry PRIV is back in stock at Walmart, and you can get it for $700 outright. However, before making your purchase, you should know that your device might or might not arrive by Christmas.

Walmart will not send you BlackBerry PRIV right away because there's a high chance that it's not available in its stock.

We suspect Walmart and BlackBerry have agreed that the retailer should continue to sell the smartphone even though it's not available in stock.

The US-based retailer might receive the PRIV in stock in the coming days, but that's a piece of information that we will probably never find out.

Orders should arrive on December 14 at the earliest

Many of you probably know by now that Walmart also allows customers to pick up their orders at the nearest local store. Well, it looks like this option is not available in this case, so if you purchase the BlackBerry PRIV online, you can't pick it up from a local Walmart store.

The good news is Walmart offers multiple ship options that are meant to bring you the PRIV faster or more slowly. If you don't want to pay any shipping fees, your BlackBerry PRIV will arrive on December 19.

But if you absolutely need to have your BlackBerry PRIV in your hands as soon as possible, you can have it on December 14, but you will have to pay around $11 shipping fees.
