BlackBerry Classic is already available on the market since December, but customers can only pick this one up in black, bronze and white.

That's plenty of color options for a BlackBerry smartphone, especially that the company's devices are aimed at business customers who usually prefer classic colors.

Non-conformists will be pleased to know that, beginning this week, they will be able to grab the BlackBerry Classic in a non-classic color, blue.

The Canadian company has just announced the immediate availability of the BlackBerry Classic Limited Edition Cobalt Blue.

“Today, we add to our growing list of device color options welcoming the limited edition BlackBerry Classic in cobalt blue. From traditional black, to classy white, and now classic cobalt blue, there’s something to suit everyone’s style,” says BlackBerry in a blog post.

The smartphone is now available for purchase in the United States via ShopBlackBerry.com for $379 outright.

In addition, BlackBerry has announced that its limited edition Classic smartphone in Cobalt Blue can be purchased in Canada, the UK and the Netherlands.

The Canadian company states that the smartphone will be rolled out in additional countries in the coming weeks, including Hong Kong and Italy, but stay tuned for more details on its availability.

The specs are decent

The Classic comes with BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS right out of the box and packs a decent 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit and 2GB RAM.

The smartphone packs 16GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB). BlackBerry Classic sports a small 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 720 x 720 pixel resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

On the back, there's an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera. Obviously, it comes with full QWERTY keyboard and all BlackBerry's apps and services.
