BioWare is still committed to keep working on Anthem and to follow the release schedule; this is the statement that needed to be made by the studio after rumors of abandonment started to float around.

To say that Anthem had a rocky start is an understatement. Following a report showed by the current state of Anthem was the result of a mismanagement and greed mix, the community looked back at Bioware with the hopes that the entire project won’t be scrapped.

It wouldn’t be the first time when a game that didn’t perform as expected was swept under the rug. We have to look no further than Mass Effect Andromeda and the entire Mass Effect franchise. All plans regarding DLC and other content for Andromeda was abandoned following a disastrous launch.

Dragon Age 4 is drawing some talent from Anthem

Some of the developers from Anthem moved to Dragon Age 4, like executive producer Mark Darrah, which sparked a flurry of tweets regarding the future of the franchise.

It turns out that the current leaders of Anthem, and the teams behind it, are Ben Irving (Lead Producer) and Chad Robertson (Head of Live Service). In fact, Chad Robertson had a lot more to say on Twitter.

“We remain 100% committed to Anthem and look forward to showing players the new content we are working on. We want to make sure we aren’t overpromising, so our updates on what’s coming in the game will be focused when we have things near completion. Along with @BenIrvo and I, we've got a big team between Austin and Edmonton focused and motivated for improving the game. We appreciate your support and for being on this journey with us.”

Let’s not forget that EA and Bioware were saying that they have a 10-year plan for Anthem. For now, the first massive piece of DLC called Cataclysm has been postponed, and the developers are finally entertaining the idea of a private test server that allows regular users to join.

As for Dragon Age 4, the game remains a mystery, and it will remain one for a very long time.
