14 DAY TRIAL // There is never a dull red carpet if Beyonce is scheduled to appear on it, and last night at the TidalX: 1020 Amplified by HTC concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, this proved to be the case.
Before taking to the stage twice to perform, once with Nicki Minaj and once with husband Jay Z, who is also the founder of Tidal, Queen Bey posed for pictures on the red carpet. As you can see from the Instagram shots below, she left very little to the imagination in a maroon dress that pretty much broke all the rules in the fashion playbook.
Beyonce stuns in revealing gown
There’s an unwritten rule in fashion that says you should never show both leg and cleavage, but clearly, rules are made to be broken by Beyonce. For the big Tidal event, she went all out, in a bold design by Philipp Plein, which included a thigh-high slit, an asymmetrical hemline, an impossible cleavage and cutouts.
It’s as if Plein had taken all the latest trends in red carpet fashion and somehow made them work together in the same design.
Beyonce classed up the very revealing gown with a fur stole in the same shade, by Georgine, Christian Louboutin two-toned shoes and jewelry from her favorite jeweler (and permanent collaborator), Lorraine Schwartz.
The Daily Mail has more photos from the red carpet, including shots from a lateral angle, that show just how revealing the dress was: in short, you could practically see almost everything there was to see.
Beyonce’s “Stop it!” moment goes viral
While the dress alone would have been enough to get Beyonce’s name trending on social media, it’s another thing that happened on the red carpet that’s getting all the buzz on social media right now: the moment when she shooed her assistant away.
That moment is included in the first Instagram of those available below. Beyonce had an assistant on call to make sure everything was perfect for the cameras, and she was fussing about the stuff she was supposed to fuss about, clearly not thinking that the photoshoot had started.
Beyonce had other things in mind, though. As one photographer yells to her “Over here, queen!,” she decides it’s picture-time and, without losing her picture-perfect smile, she tells the assistant to “Stop it!” The girl complies and moves to the side, to get out of the frame.
While this is probably what happens regularly on a red carpet where there are celebrities of Beyonce’s caliber, for some reason, many people on social media seem to find this particular incident absolutely hilarious.
