Who runs the world? Queen B does, mag says

Beyonce hasn’t done an interview, a proper sit-down interview, be it with a magazine or a TV show, for almost a year. Chances are she might be breaking her silence soon, assuming the September 2015 issue of Vogue magazine, whose covergirl she is, comes with a full interview.

Vogue has released the preview for its September issue, which is always a big deal in fashion, and showbiz in general, and it comes with Queen B on the cover. The preview article carries quotes about Beyonce’s greatness from heavy names in the fashion industry, but also a description of the “perfect” entertainer, the one who easily crosses boundaries between fashion, music, entertainment and art, to create her own style.

Vogue praises Beyonce as queen of the world

To her fans, Beyonce is also known as Bey, Queen Bey, Queen B or simply B. “Such is the power of Beyonce that just one letter tells us who she is,” Vogue writes.

Beyonce once told the world that it’s being run by women, but in reality, the fashion publication would have us believe, there is only one lady who’s running this show: Queen Beyonce.

She’s taken what the likes of Madonna and Cher started and perfected it, delivering in the process the ultimate entertainer: she’s a music and style chameleon, able to reinvent herself to suit the trends but, at the same time, not following them blindly but creating her own.

She takes pleasure in her sexuality and pride in her body, and she mixes her sense of empowerment with social messages. She’s beautiful and talented and unapologetic, fashionable and versatile, open to new ideas but very set on staying true to herself.

According to Vogue, Beyonce is the ultimate showwoman, whose power and influence surpasses that of any other woman in showbiz.

About that interview

And here’s the weirdest thing about this whole piece - and it has nothing to do with the glowing praises heaped on the diva or whether they’re justified or not. There is not a single quote from Beyonce, which seems a bit odd, considering that she’s the covergirl.

Magazines occasionally run this kind of glowing, tribute-like type of articles, but no one would imagine Vogue would do the same for their highly coveted and popular September issue, especially when any other celebrity would have gladly sat down for an interview with them.

Word online has it that Queen Bey probably wouldn’t deign to chat with Vogue, even if it’s the biggest fashion publication in the world. She did, instead, do a video for them - and it’s just as artsy as you came to expect from her.
