14 DAY TRIAL // Right now, Beyonce and her family are on vacation, so the BeyHive, which is the unofficial name of her fanbase, was relaxed as far as the possibility of getting new music went. This goes to show that you are never to underestimate Queen Bey: Naughty Boy has released a brand new track with her vocals on it.
Called “Runnin’ (Lose It All),” it’s a collaboration between Bey, Naughty Boy and Arrow Benjamin, and it’s absolutely beautiful.
To make the surprise even better, the track comes with a music video, which, though it doesn’t feature any of the artists on it, includes gorgeous underwater shots of a couple of lovers running (swimming?) towards each other.
Beyonce hasn’t released an album since December 2013, when she dropped “Beyonce” in full on iTunes, in the middle of the night, without doing any promotion for it. She didn’t even announce it, which completely re-wrote the way in which musicians put new stuff out there and further confirmed her status as one of the savviest business entrepreneurs of our time.
She seems to be sticking with that recipe for this collaboration, at least in part, because Naughty Boy only announced it 24 hours before it dropped.
As for solo music from Queen Bey, no word on that yet, but she is believed to be in the recording studio working on a new album.
