14 DAY TRIAL // Depending on who you believe, Ben Affleck is either cruising for random hookups with his good friend Jon Hamm or, according to a new report, drowning his sorrows in junk food, his beard and in the tears he cries on his mother’s shoulder.
British tabloid Grazia claims that Affleck has been struggling to cope with his divorce from Jennifer Garner, after she went public with the announcement last summer, one day after their 10th wedding anniversary.

That Garner asked for the separation would have been bad enough, but Affleck has also had to deal with a lot of negative media attention in the weeks following the above-mentioned announcement.
The family’s former nanny, Christine Ouzonian, sold / leaked her story to the press, claiming that she had an affair with the Batman actor in the weeks prior to the separation, at a time when Jennifer and Ben had agreed to give their marriage another try.
They even went on vacation together to see if they still made sense as a couple, but unbeknownst to Jennifer, Ben was sleeping with the nanny. He also flew her to Vegas to accompany him on a poker trip with Tom Brady.
The bottom line is that Ben has not been having a good time, publicity-wise. After the nanny scandal, he emerged with his reputation a mess, and not even Jennifer’s willingness to keep up the front of a happy family (mostly through staged family photo ops) could help him clean it up.
Ben turns to mother Christine for support
With all this going on, Ben turned to his loving mother for support and counsel, the tab reports. Christine Affleck has always been very close to her 2 boys, Ben and Casey, but she rushed to Ben’s side when she realized how difficult things were for him.
Admittedly, she wants to do even more and make arrangements so she can keep an eye on his 24/7.
“Ben’s in a pretty bad way,” an insider is quoted as saying. “He’s not really taking care of himself, he’s not shaving, hardly washing and eating a lot of junk food and his mum can’t bear to see him like this. She convinced him to stay in their family home so she could nurse him back to health. Now she’s really pushing for him to move in full-time once he starts filming.”
Ben and Jennifer have 3 children together, but as of the time of writing, they are yet to file the divorce papers.
