14 DAY TRIAL // Slitherine has just revealed that Battlestar Galactica Deadlock will be getting another paid DLC later this month. Dubbed Ghost Fleet Offensive, the new DLC will arrive on February 25 alongside a new free update that will bring some gameplay improvements.
Part of the Season 2 of Battlestar Galactica Deadlock’s new campaign, Ghost Fleet Offensive brings ten more exciting missions: this time, the Colonial fleet will sneak under the DRADIS radar and strike the Cylons behind enemy lines.
The new DLC lets players take control of the Ghost Fleet, as seen in the TV show prequel Blood and Chrome, and lead the offensive deep into enemy territory where Toaster bases are sitting undefended.
Moreover, Ghost Fleet Offensive adds new ships and weapons, such as the Colonial Orion, a light frigate equipped with an experimental suite of ECM jamming and stealth technologies. Also, the Colonial Defender, a support ship of Gemenese origin will be ready to bolster the marine defense of friendly ships that have been boarded, as well as provide technical support to boost the strength of ally subsystems.
Cylon Medusa is an advanced command ship equipped with point defense cannons, capable of overclocking the subsystems of multiple ships with its advanced transmission arrays. Besides the new ships, the upcoming DLC introduces new Cylon munitions like cluster nukes (devastating multi-missile system capable of striking six individual targets with nuclear warheads) and virus mines (a short-range ECM field generator that hacks the subsystems of hostile ships and compromises enemy squadrons).
Along with the Ghost Fleet Offensive DLC, developers will release the Fleet Admiral update, which will be free for all owners of the base game. The free update adds a new level and the Cinematic Browser that lets players watch campaign cutscenes. Also, expect some UI enhancements and the ability to assign the flagship of each Colonial fleet to be part of the free update too.
