EA has just announced Chapter V in the Battlefield V saga will be available for owners of the game on Halloween, October 31. The upcoming expansion takes players to the Pacific where they will do battle in iconic locations like Iwo Jima and Wake Island (coming in December).

Dubbed War in the Pacific, the expansion adds two new factions, as players can choose to play as either US Armed Forces or the Imperial Japanese Army. More importantly, a wide range of new weapons will be available for Battlefield V players to try out.

Apart from the classic World War II firearms and katanas, players will be able to arm themselves with M1 Garand and three other main weapons: Type 99 Arisaka (Recon class), Type 11 (Medic class), and M1919A6 (Support class).

Later on, additional weapons will be available like the M3 Grease Gun, Nambu Type 2A, Type 97 LMG, and M1918 A2. Also, the Jungle Carbine, Type 94 and Model 27 sidearms will be available as Chapter Rewards. Last but not least, those who prefer the Assault class will be pleased to know that a new explosive gadget, the tank-busting Lunge Mine will be available to them.

War in the Pacific introduces two new battle pickups, the katana and the M2 Flamethrower. Besides these new weapons, EA confirmed that Battlefield V players will be able to pilot famous vehicles like the M4 Sherman, the Japanese Type 97 tank, as well as the LVT and Ka-Mi Light amphibious tanks.

Other vehicles present in the upcoming expansion include Dinghy, MB Jeep, Type 95 car, F4U Corsair (fighter and bomber), and Japanese Zero Fighter.

Special abilities introduced in the expansion lets players call for reinforcements. The US side can unleash the Sherman Calliope, as well as some other Reinforcement favorites that will return like the JB-2 Rocket, Supply Drop, Smoke Barrage, and Sector Artillery. Players who side with the Japanese army will be able to call in the KI-147 I-Go rocket, as well as a Rocket Barrage Tank similar to the Sherman Calliope.

Naturally, players can earn chapter rewards like weapons, soldier outfits, weapon skins, melee weapons, Special Assignments, and much more. As mentioned earlier, the Jungle Carbine primary weapon, the Epic Nighthawk outfit, and the Model 27 sidearm will be available as Chapter Rewards.
