Samsung teased the Batman-themed Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung posted an image on its official Twitter account, teasing an upcoming special edition Galaxy S7 Edge. The image hints at the fact that the upcoming limited edition Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will revolve  around Batman and other heroes from the DC Comics.

It’s not the first time that Samsung launched a limited edition smartphone. Last year’s Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge came with an Iron Man Limited Edition, which was available only in some select countries. It revolved around the theme of Marvel’s movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Two years ago, Samsung went even further and partnered with Swarovski to launch a limited edition of the Galaxy Note 3, one that sported a cover encrusted with Swarovski crystals.

Obviously, these limited edition devices are designed for a certain customer base, specifically people willing to spend more on crystal-encrusted covers or fans of Marvel series or DC Comics.

The Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition came with multiple accessories like an Iron Man-themed wireless charger and a clear cover. Therefore, it’s highly likely that the Batman-themed Galaxy S7 Edge will also have some accessories that fans will surely appreciate.

Still, the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition kept all the main specs from the standard model, which would mean that Samsung might not make any spec changes on the Batman-themed Galaxy S7 Edge.

It’s unsure if the Batman-themed smartphone will be available internationally or only in a few select countries. It’s highly likely that only a few such units will be manufactured in order to promote the upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us game.

Samsung also tweeted a GIF showing the Batman logo, which might be placed on the back of the phone. Considering that Samsung is heavily promoting the upcoming Galaxy S7 Edge Batman-themed phone, it’s safe to say that fans could get their hands on it soon.
