The new game is ready for tomorrow's launch

Ahead of its upcoming launch, Batman: Arkham Knight is now available for preload on the PC and PS4 platforms, as those with digital copies can already begin downloading the necessary files. What's more, the day-one update 1.01 has just received a changelog and a size on the PS4 console.

Batman: Arkham Knight is set to launch tomorrow, June 23, worldwide across PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms. As you can imagine, developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher Warner Bros. are doing everything they can in order to ensure a smooth and stable release.

Arkham Knight is available for pre-load on some platforms

Ahead of the actual launch, PC and PS4 users who've pre-purchased the digital edition of the action adventure experience can already start preloading the necessary files, according to fans on Reddit.

On the PC, those on Steam can start downloading around 33.7GB of files. Once they're decompressed, the game should occupy around 45GB of space, according to the system requirements.

Meanwhile, PS4 users can start downloading around 50GB of the game's content from the PlayStation Store, ahead of tomorrow's launch.

As of yet, Xbox One users aren't able to start preloading Batman: Arkham Knight on their platform, but things might change later today, June 22, so make sure to check the Xbox Live listing for changes.

Patch 1.01 is live on PS4 and has an official changelog

What's more, PS4 owners can also start downloading the day-one update for Batman: Arkham Knight, in the form of patch 1.01, which weighs in at 3.5GB.

An official changelog is also available below, via Reddit, confirming some of the improvements in the update. These include better performance, stability fixes, new features like Rival Points, not to mention general gameplay, graphical, audio, or user interface enhancements.
