Warner Bros. confirms in a recent statement that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight might finally go back on sale in the "coming weeks." However, a concrete date isn't available just yet.

Batman: Arkham Knight was supposed to herald the glorious end of the long-running action adventure series from Rocksteady and Warner Bros. but, on the PC at least, the game was plagued by performance issues and other problems. Millions of fans were complaining about the game's general handling, even on powerful configurations, while others were unsatisfied with the visual quality.

Things got so serious that Warner Bros. took the game off the Steam service, preventing any and all retailers from continuing to sell the title until all glitches were resolved. It then promised that, once the actual problems are fixed, the title will go back on sale. The estimated time for this endeavor was a few weeks, at first, but it's since spiraled into several months.

The game might go back on sale soon enough

Already two hefty patches arrived for the game in order to solve some of the biggest problems and more fixes are on the way, according to Rocksteady.

Now, in the recent statement confirming the DLC plans for Arkham Knight in the next couple of months, Warner Bros. mentions at the end that the PC version of the title is set to appear in the very near future.

More specifically, the publisher mentions that "the PC version of the game will be available in the coming weeks."

Unfortunately, a concrete release date isn't available just yet. What's more, the next update also doesn't have any estimated time of arrival, although it might appear shortly before the game goes back on sale to solve any lingering issues.

Expect to hear more details about Arkham Knight on PC in the following weeks, as we get closer to this potential re-release of the problematic game.
