Game developer baKno, known for its ten-cents-a-game coin solution, has brought a new video game to the Mac platform called Xplorer. The “hide-and-seek” game has players racing to find a randomly generated list of objects visiting impressive locales around the world.

In Xplorer, you navigate around the globe searching for hidden objects in ten adventures, each with a list of random hidden objects to uncover. You also have to be careful not to run out of time, always. That might prove to be a little annoying, but we'll wait for your confirmation to say for sure. The game also takes you to amazing areas on the globe, according to the makers, “Experience amazing sights and photography as you travel around the map to interesting areas of the world”.

Xplorer is also progressively challenging, meaning that it gets harder to beat a level as you progress through the game. Working against the clock, players search by navigating through detailed scenes, activating tools such as the magnifying glass and electronic detector for help in spotting hard-to-find objects. The object list of more than 500 different items is randomly generated, while each level can be replayed numerous times.

baKno is a game development studio offering fun and challenging online games for all ages and multiple operating systems. Players of Bakno's games for Mac can purchase (virtual) coins which they can use whenever their game trial expires. The "pay per play" solution is an alternative to purchasing a traditional shareware license. The game developer notes that after you purchase coins, you will receive an email with a Key Code to be entered on your game exactly as when you purchase a license. This key code will unlock the same amount of plays as coins purchased.

baKno develops what the gaming industry calls "Casual Games", for Mac OS X and Windows, although some may consider that the titles bridge the more serious genres with the casual gameplay style. The company's games are provided to customers on a try-before-you-buy basis.

Download Xplorer right here (current version 1.5). Mac OS X 10.4 or later is required. The game is a Universal Binary.
