The LG G Vista was launched by AT&T more than a year ago, and since the carrier decided that a sequel is needed, it probably sold very well.

Earlier today, AT&T announced that it would add the LG G Vista 2 to its portfolio of Android smartphones. However, the carrier neglected to share more details on its pricing options and availability.

The good news is we at least know what to expect from the LG G Vista's sequel since the carrier has already published an in-depth video showing the smartphone's specs.

First of all, the smartphone will ship with Android Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but we don't rule out the possibility of getting a Marshmallow upgrade in the future, especially considering the specs.

A solid upgrade over the previous model

Moving on to the actual specs, LG G Vista 2 will be powered by an octa-core processor, but AT&T did not have the courtesy to provide us with more details on the CPU, though there's a high chance the smartphone might pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset.

LG G Vista 2 will be equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Another upgrade over the original model is the 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution instead of just HD (720p). The phone comes with a stylus as well.

It will probably offer a wide range of connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.

On the back, LG G Vista 2 employs the services of a 13-megapixel photo snapper with laser autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

Since AT&T did not disclose any details regarding the LG G Vista 2's availability, we'll just have to wait for the carrier to make it official in the next couple of days.
