Asus introduced the Zenfone Zoom back in January during Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 trade fair, but the smartphone is not yet available on the market.

At one point, Asus hinted at a delay of the device due to some manufacturing issues, but the company did not offer additional details on Zenfone Zoom's availability.

Today, the smartphone received its certification at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, which suggests the Zenfone Zoom might be released on the market very soon.

Along with the phone's pictures, TENAA also lists some of the phone's specs. Although Asus announced the main features Zenfone Zoom has to offer, it's nice to have another confirmation from a regulatory entity.

But in case you're not familiar with Asus Zenfone Zoom, here are some of its selling points, as highlighted by the Taiwanese company almost a year ago.

Price and availability will vary by country

First of all, the Zenfone Zoom comes with an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera that features laser focus, OIS (optical image stabilization), f/2.0 aperture and 3x optical zoom.

At the front, there's a much lower 5-megapixel selfie camera. Asus Zenfone Zoom sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone features an Intel Atom Z3580 chipset that packs a 2.3GHz quad-core processor. The Zenfone Zoom will be available in two versions with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM.

On top of that, there will be multiple variations based on the amount of storage: 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. All models will pack microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).

Last but not least, the Zenfone Zoom will drain energy from a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

The standard version of Asus Zenfone Zoom will be available for purchase for around $400 outright, but the other models will cost more or less.
