Asus has already released a lot of Zenfone smartphones this year, most likely due to the success of the lineup. However, the next year will probably debut with yet another Zenfone smartphone coming from Asus.

A new Asus_Z01HDA has been recently spotted at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, which is rumored to arrive on the market as Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom.

With the Zenfone 3 Zoom, Asus plans to adopt a couple of technologies that are usually exclusive to high-end smartphones, like dual-camera setup and large batteries.

The pictures published at TENAA confirm the Zenfone 3 Zoom will come with a dual-camera setup on the back. The listing also mentions the smartphone features a 16-megapixel dual lens rear-facing camera with dual LED flash and laser focus, as well as a secondary 13-megapixel camera in the front.

On top of that, the Zenfone 3 Zoom will be powered by a 4,850 mAh battery, even though it doesn't pack a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display. Instead, Asus has decided to include a standard 5.5-inch AMOLED panel that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

A slew of different versions will be launched

Hardware-wise, Asus' high-end smartphone is likely to pack a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon, though the model is not mentioned.

We do know that there will be multiple Zenfone 3 Zoom variants launched on the market, based on the amount of memory: 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM, as well as 16GB, 32GB and 64GB of internal memory. All models will include microSD card slot for memory expansion.

The bad news is the smartphone is listed with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but we hope Asus will have enough time to add Android 7.0 Nougat by the time the phone gets released on the market.

Speaking of which, Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom is expected to be officially introduced early next year at CES 2017, but we don't know when it will hit the shelves.
