14 DAY TRIAL // Asus Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone 2 Deluxe have been available in just about every country, but not in the United States.
Some other countries are probably missing these Android smartphones as well, but there are few major markets like US where Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone 2 Deluxe aren't available for purchase yet.
Today, Asus announced that its mid-range smartphones with high-end features can now be purchased in the United States through its official retail channels.
Other retailers like Newegg, B&H and Amazon will start selling these Zenfone 2 variants in the next couple of days.
The Zenfone 2 Laser (16GB) is now available for purchase for just $199, while the 32GB model is selling for $249 outright. On the other hand, Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe has been priced at $399.
The cheaper of the two, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser comes with a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating.
Two powerful smartphones running Android 5.0 Lollipop
The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.
The Zenfone 2 Laser packs either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).
It also features a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back with laser autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, along with a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front.
Moving on the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe, the smartphone boasts a similar 5.5-inch display, but supports full HD (1080p) resolution instead and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.
It's also powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, a PowerVR G6430 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.
The Zenfone 2 Deluxe packs no less than 128GB of storage, but a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB) is included too.
The same dual camera combo is available inside the Zenfone 2 Deluxe: 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel selfie camera in the front.
Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe is powered by a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery, while the Zenfone 2 Laser drains energy from a similar 3,000 mAh battery, which can be removed.
